Page 30 - Cast Iron Mole Trap (2) date should be –1895+

Page 45 - The Everitt Rabbit Trap is wrongly attributed.  Although remarkably like the Everitt trap it is actually a Maclachlan Rabbit Trap. Patent number 534996 was taken out by William Stewart Kidd Maclachlan in 1941 as “An Improved Trap for Rabbits and like Animals”.  (I am indebted to Trevor Bateman for this information).  

Glen Moor Humane Rabbit Trap.  Address for M A Glen should be Littlecourt, Horton, South Bucks.

Page 51 - The Gin Trap with Treadle Surround is an Imperial Box Trap. On a clear example the treadle is stamped IMPERIAL BOX TRAP PAT NO 25355/35.  This patent was applied for in 1935 in Australia by W A Coombs but apparently a complete specification was never provided so the patent was deemed to be abandoned. The trap is referred to as an Australian Sand Trap and is designed so that sand cannot get under the treadle. It was intended to trap rabbits.  These traps were almost certainly made in South Australia and may have been made by W A Coombs himself. (I am indebted to Darol Walsgott for this information).

Page 60 - Humane Man Trap (Izons, Whitehurst & Izon), the third line of the description has been transposed and should be read as the fourth line.  

Page 74 - Rentokil Mouse Trap, substitute ‘c.1980’ for the word ‘early’.
